Kohden is Japanese for 'To convey fragrance' and reflects a heritage of Japanese incense that has been influenced by contact with other regions of the world. Over the centuries, incense ingredients and arabesque patterns came to Japan through the Silk Road from the Middle East. Kohden is packaged in herbal motif arabesque boxes to show respect for the ancient people who carried the incense in to Japan.
Each variety/box is beautifully designed and coloured, containing a roll of 40 incense sticks and a small ceramic incense holder. The varieties within the range are: Sweet Aloeswood, Spicy Aloeswood, Sandalwood, Musk note, Japanese Mint and Star Anise.
