|Porcelain Teacups Hildegarde de Bingen - set of 2 cups
A pair of white Teacups in the Hildegarde de Bingen range - to match the Hildegarde Teapot also available here. These share the platinum motif also found on the Teapot.
Designed in a Japanese style - these cups have a wide diameter. This encourages the more rapid cooling of the Tea, so it can be enjoyed more quickly.

Having founded two monasteries in Europe (Rupersberg in 1150 and Einingen in 1165) she spent much of her time in the gardens and infirmary.

Her hallmark/legacy was to emphasis the vital connection between the 'green health' of the natural world with the holistic health of the person. She became well-known for her healing powers involving practical application of tinctures, herbs and precious stones. This alternative form of medicine, developed in the Middle Ages, is the western equivalent of Indian Ayurvedic or traditional Chinese medicine.
This range of teapots and teacups are named after her in celebration of her foresight and love of the environment.
